About Us
Our Academy
We are a FREE public charter school for students in grades K through 7 (and K-8 starting with the 2022-23 School Year). Our educational process is student-centered and achieved by partnerships involving students, parents, and staff where each child embraces the love, joy, and value of education.
Our Educators
Our educators love what we do and know that we are making a difference in the lives of children! We are a small Academy focusing on meeting the needs of the whole child. We have a strong passion for our work and have space available. If you are looking for a place where your child will get that special extra touch, you have found it! We are a K-7 school offering small class sizes, a caring climate, and have educators looking to build excitement for learning in each and every one of our students.

How to Enroll
The Academy of Dover Charter School utilizes an open enrollment plan. Any child who is qualified under the laws of Delaware for enrollment to a public school is qualified for admission to the Academy of Dover Charter School.
If more students submit applications than can be accommodated by the Academy's capacity — class, grade or building, a waiting list will be maintained for each grade level in order of receipt of their application, on a first-come, first-served basis. Sibling preference will be honored as long as there is room in the particular grade. If the grade is full, the sibling will be put on a waiting list for the grade.
All applicants are required to attend a tour with the Head of School before application is accepted.
